What was your first job?

Domino’s Pizza.  I tried to apply when I was 15…they only hired 16 and over. I walked back in on my 16th birthday. They hired me on the spot for having good follow through.

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

The Usual Suspects & Office Space are my favorite movies

What is your favorite book?

Yikes….I can’t seem to narrow down my all-time favorite…so many great books! My most recent favorite is “The Help” though.

Do you have any pets?

We have 5 pets. Officially 4 cats & 1 dog….but the dog tries to be a cat and one of the cats thinks it’s a dog.

What is the most played song on your music playlist?

The whole “Thank You” album by Stone Temple Pilots currently.

What is the most exotic place you have ever visited?

On a business trip in the 90’s…there was some strange restaurant in the Dallas, Texas area with 20+ years of men’s necktie’s snipped and stapled to the walls. I will never forget all those ugly ties. I obviously need to get out more & add to my “exotic” destination list!

What are your favorite kinds of projects to work on?

The “just made someone’s day easier” kinds.

What do you like best about the people you work with?

That everyone genuinely loves being here & being a team.  Everyone engages in working together to help our clients, coworkers, etc. without hesitation. There’s no “I” in payroll…..haha!!

What’s your favorite part of working here?

That there is always something new to learn and a collaborative effort to learn it together.

Who inspires you to be successful?

My kids. When something seems unreachable to me….I think of how I want them to know hard work and positive thinking will result in success.  That inspires me to press on.

If you could be a superhero, what would your super powers be?

I would love to be able to do that nose twitch thing and have the whole house cleaned, laundry folded, hair & make-up perfect….sigh…one can dream!

Cloning myself so I could multi­task more than I do already!

I would like to try Italy or Morocco for a period of time!

Don’t panic, anything can be fixed!

You have to be an expert in accounting to process payroll. False, with online payroll systems doing all the tax calculations and deductions for you, you only need a reliable system such as TRAXPayroll.

What was your first job?  

Longs Drug Store.  I had just turned 16 and was the youngest person they had ever hired.  I ended up working there for 13 years both full and part-time.

What is your favorite movie or TV show?  

Survivor

What is your favorite book?  

Hmmm, that’s a tough one.  But ‘To Kill a Mockingbird’ and ‘Pillars of the Earth’ stand out.

Do you have any pets?

Of course!  I love animals.  We have two dogs and two small parrots that scream annoyingly but also make the cutest sounds.  They giggle and laugh at appropriate times – I don’t know how they know, but they do.

What is the most exotic place you have ever visited?  

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

What are your favorite kinds of projects to work on?  

Stuff around the house

What do you like best about the people you work with?  

We all have a good sense of humor which is sorely needed in payroll.

Harley Davidson in Vallejo, I was 16 years old working in the clothing department.

Yes, a 4-year-old Pug named Bryan.

I am terrified to fly, so I have never been out of the country. I am hoping to change that in 2018.

Taking over filing local taxes, I am proud I was able to complete that successfully.

Definitely, my Mother, she is the hardest worker I know and has instilled that mentality in me

I worked as a Teacher teaching computers to high school students.

What is your favorite movie or TV show?

Jurassic Park as the Dinosaurs also have the power that allows my two boys to focus on something together. Big Bang Theory, Project Runway and Elementary.

What is the most exotic place you have ever visited?

Munnar, a hill station in Southwestern Indian, state of Kerala. It was also the place of my honeymoon.

What are your favorite kinds of projects to work on?

I like all projects, but since I do a variety of things, my favorite kinds would be the ones that challenge me to think outside the box.

They are all very hardworking.

My parents for believing in me and encouraging me, and my husband who trusts and supports my decisions.

The ability to instantly come up with a witty comeback during an argument instead of coming up with it later on in the shower.

If you were a fictional character, who would you be?

IRONMAN! I love the suit. But it could just be that I like Robert Downey Jr as Ironman or that Tony Stark is rich, genius and gets away being narcissistic and arrogant.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

I would love to live on a mountain. Everything looks beautiful from the height.
